CLEAR CREEK TAHOE (CCT)

ABOUT

Clear Creek Tahoe is a part of the historic Clear Creek Ranch that is 2,136 acres, the property has a connection to Lake Tahoe, Carson City, and Virginia City since the mid 1800’s. The Clear Creek community is located in the center of the fictional “Ponderosa” of Bonanza fame, and was utilized for over 150 years by various cattle operations. Some of the history on the property has historically held timber flumes that carried logs from Spooner Summit to the mines of western Nevada. The Clear Creek Tahoe Community also has a significant architectural heritage, including the memorable building design of architect Julia Morgan, who designed the Twin Pines Lake & Ski House.

The Clear Creek Tahoe Community property sits on a saddle between the eastern face of the Sierras and outcropping that towers up to 6,500 feet in elevation. As the Clear Creek Tahoe community takes shape, onsite materials are being used extensively, both for the construction of the golf course and the surrounding residential community. As a previous employee to the Design Review department at Clear Creek Tahoe, it was part of my job to ensure that the Clear Creek Tahoe Community stays native to the original roots for the 853 acres that is in permanent conservation easement with The Nature Conservancy. I have extensive experience reviewing and approving Clear Creek Tahoe Community custom residential submittals with the CCT Design Guidelines, approvable material selection, on-site construction rules and regulations and much more.
