San Diego River Park Foundation

About

The San Diego River Park Foundation works on connecting the San Diego River from the hills and mountains near Julian and Santa Ysabel to the Pacific Ocean to create a pathway of connection along the river. SDRPF constantly cleans the river by removing waste and invasive species, creating education programs to educate about the river, outreach to multiple sectors for many reasons, and much more.

The opportunity allowed me to be a part of the team and work with them to create the vision of a trail from mountains to sea.

Design work

My role as graphic and outreach coordinator was to design and layout graphic communication pieces including direct mail, flyers, posters and park project site renderings. Assist with all aspects of designing the graphics for special events including: programs, invitations, auction bid sheets, event signage, etc, and engage in projects assigned by various staff members related to informational signage located on the river trail or in the San Diego Watershed. As the outreach coordinator, part of my job was to engage with the community through graphics and in person events like River clean-ups and SDRPF events.
